Day Ticket Rules and Match booking Guide - ALL NETS WILL BE PROVIDED PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  1. The Lakes are open all year other than Christmas Day.
  2. Opening times are 7.30am to an hour before dusk. (Closing time is as advertised on the lakes notice board). The fishery is locked outside Day Ticket times so you must leave by closing time to avoid being locked in.
  3. DAY TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM THE SHOP PRIOR TO FISHING.
  4. There are tenants on the site who have entry keys. DO NOT BLOCK OR OBSTRUCT ANY GATES OR ROADWAYS
  5. An adult must accompany all juniors under the age of 10.
  6. Day ticket parking is in the Main car park only.
  7. Registered Disabled Anglers displaying a valid Blue Parking Permit may drive around the lake but must NOT drive on the grass. You may unload your tackle and take it to your swim then return to your car and park in the nearest parking bay. Do not block the road
  8. No keepnets other than in authorised competitions.

  10. Fishing from numbered swims only.
  11. Lake closures for competitions and coaching sessions are clearly marked on the notice board and on the Marsh Farm website
  12. A maximum of two rods may be used
  13. All anglers must be in possession of a valid EA Rod Licence
  14. No Tins allowed on the bank.
  15. No Nut baits or Bloodworm & Joker.
  16. All hooks larger than 14 to be Barbless, hooks 14 or smaller may be micro barbed.
  17. No litter, take your litter home.
  18. No dogs allowed, unless guide dogs.
  19. Transferring of fish from one lake to another is STRICTLY forbidden; any offenders may be prosecuted by the Environment Agency.
  20. Please respect the fish, Waters and grounds at all times during your visit.
  21. Godalming Angling Society reserves the right to refuse entry to the site.

Match Bookings and rules -
Matches are now "Two net matches"
- ALL NETS WILL BE PROVIDED

IMPORTANT!! - Please note that two nets per angler will be provided by the shop ALONG WITH a landing net head. The Pools money to be left in the shop against return of all nets. No one will be allowed to use their own nets. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and no refund. This is to protect our waters and your future fishing. Please help us to achieve this goal. Thank you.

  1. Please note ALL the site rules* apply equally to Day tickets and Match anglers. Match organisers will be issued with a copy of the rules on arrival which are also clearly displayed on the car park notice board, and this website. 
    * Occasionally between 1st November and 31st March inclusive Godalming AS ONLY will run some matches where the use of Bloodworm and Joker purchased ONLY from the on site shop will be permitted.
    These matches will be clearly advertised in advance so that members who do no know how to fish with it can obtain free tuition or opt not to fish these matches & those who do wish to fish have time to order their bait from the shop.
  2. All match bookings to be made in advance via Godalming AS Match Sec Roger Howe 01483 415386. You can check availability on the Match booking calendar on the website before phoning.
  3. Please take care on the number of pegs you are booking as you will be charged for that number & not on how many anglers arrive on the day. However, if you require additional pegs on the day & they are available you will be charged accordingly
  4. Match pegs are £6 each for 10 pegs or more, under 10 pegs normal £7 applies, all fees to be paid at the shop on arrival.
  5. ALL MATCHES ARE TWO NET MATCHES. One net is for fish up to 1lbs and the second net is for all fish estimated over 1lbs. IMPORTANT!! - Please note that two nets per angler will be provided by the shop ALONG WITH a landing net head. You will need to bring your landing net pole/handle with you. The Pools money to be left in the shop against return of all nets. No one will be allowed to use their own nets. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and no refund. This is to protect our waters and your future fishing. Please help us to achieve this goal. Thank you.
  6. Maximum duration of matches to be 6 hours.
  7. Anybody staying on after the match or leaving during the match to fish another part of the complex must buy a day ticket.
  8. No tinned baits on the bank please
  9. Please use the toilet facilities provided on site and respect the Fish, Wildlife, and grounds at all time during your visit.
